Canon Communications to Launch MEDTEC France in 2009: Show will serve Europe's second largest medical device market
MAIDSTONE, England (Business Wire EON) March 10, 2008 -- Exceeded in Europe only by Germany in terms of the production of medical devices, France's 2,000 medical manufacturers produced some EUR 10.5 Billion in finished medical devices in 2007. Spurred by the increasing demands of an aging population, the French medical manufacturing market continues to expand at nearly 7% per year.
In selecting Besancon, Canon has strategically positioned its new trade fair in the heart of the highest concentration of medical manufacturing in France. Franche-Comte is an internationally renowned centre for microtechnology.
